Adele’s “Hello,” her first single in three years, is completely killing the competition and leaving everyone in the dust. It is now the best selling single in 15 years and has 1.1 million downloads in just one week. It’s the only song to do that since Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind.”

John re-recorded his big 1973 hit in 1997 as a tribute to the late Princess Diana. The single sold 3.4 million copies in its first week and another 1.2 million in the next week.

“Hello” is Adele’s fourth number one single. Her new album “25” is coming out on November 20.

With the way her single is selling and all of the buzz that is surrounding the album, we can expect Adele to continue setting sales records. Right now, it’s virtually guaranteed that the album will move more than one million copies in the first week.
