Arcade Fire Brought Debbie Harry Onstage

Arcade Fire brought Blondie to Coachella by performing with Debbie Harry on Sunday, April 13, during their gig at the California festival.

These rockers rocked and headlined the festival on its last day of the first weekend, April 11-13. They were introduced by a person wearing a suit made of shattered mirrors, before they went on and performed their hit Reflector.

The audience went totally wild when their front man Win Butler introduced Harry to perform Blondie’s classic Heart of Glass from 1978.

Debbie, the veteran star, played with Arcade Fire’s Regine Chassagne. Then he backed vocals for the band’s Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains).

Harry told the crowd, or shouted, if you like, “Cruise on, motherf**kers” as she danced with Chassagne and waved multi-colored streamers.”

After the gig, Debbie shared a photo of herself onstage with the band, captioning, “Well that was fun Thanks Arcade Fire and Coachella… Blondie 4ever (sic).”

Debbie Harry is an American singer-songwriter and actress, best known as the lead singer of the punk rock and new wave band Blondie.
