Nick Carter’s horror movie project Evil Blessings will not begin filming until 2015, because of his Backstreet Boys tour.

The singer used crowd-funding website Indiegogo.com to raise the money for the movie he co-wrote in 2013.he brought in $85,000 (£56,667) to cover production costs.

His project was set back in July 2013 due to the director’s sudden death, but Nick promised to complete the project.

This year, it’s been delayed once more, because Nick has commitments he made to the Backstreet Boys tour. Therefore, the production won’t begin until January 2015. His boy band will be touring until January.

He explained the situations in series of posts on Twitter.com. He said, “Oh and just a quick update. Evil Blessings is getting finishing touches done to the script. We are looking to begin shooting in January…

With the busy schedule and success of the Backstreet Boys tour it has made it difficult to set a solid date this year for filming…The good thing is that it has given me time to perfect the script. I want this project to be the best it can be for you.”

On the Indiegogo.com, he explained the intention of crowd-funding the movie, “The reason I’m looking to crowd fund this film is because it not only helps me to gauge interest in this project, but it gives my fans out there an opportunity to get access to what I’m doing that I wouldn’t be able to offer elsewhere.

Having seen what a great community there is on Indiegogo supporting each other to make passion projects happen, this feels like the best way to do it.”
