Childish Gambino Angry With Label Bosses



Rapper Childish Gambino has accused executives at his Glasnote Records label for not managing his latest video shoot properly.

The latest single from his Because the Internet album, Sweatpants, debuted on Monday, April 14.

Shortly after it was released on the internet, this MC and actor took to to express his disappointment over managing the project.

He didn’t, however, reveal all the details and what actually went wrong, but he wrote, “So this Sweatpants video and blog was important to us and it wasn’t handled correctly.”

“We were told a lot of things were gonna happen and they were all lies. So I’m done someone buy me out of this (record) contract.”

He then continued, “A lot of people (executives) came around after our first week sales. All those people are welcome now. (Record labels) Def Jam, Atlantic, whatever…

I don’t like record companies but I’m not having another project go through this.”

Gambino was very angry with them, although as he stated, he’s a very calm and peaceful individual.

“Don’t lie to me… I know I’m not loud, or outrageous, or a white girl with a big a**, but I’m f**kin honest. My team is honest. ur (you are) not on my team if ur (sic) not honest. Don’t lie to me.”

His album Because the Internet is his second Album with Glassnote Records.

Together with his debut record Camp in 2011, he sold around 500,000 units with this label.
