Lady Gaga Landed 10 Vevo Awards



Pop superstar Lady Gaga has more than a billion views of her videos on streaming website, which earned her 10 awards.

She received her awards from executives on Tuesday, April 22, in recognition of her online success.

She took to her website to announce the awards to her fans.

She wrote, “Just finished up at Vevo, they gave me TEN Vevo Certified awards that represent over a billion views! Thank u (you) monsters (fans) for being a part of making that possible!”

Only days prior to this, the star had her wisdom tooth removed.

She admits she is still recovering and in pain as she went back to work. She said, “Off to rehearsal, teeth still hurties (sic). Just Dance gonna be OK!”

Influenced by David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Queen, Lady Gaga is also recognized for her diverse and vast contributions to the music industry through her fashion, performances and music videos.

As of November 2013, she had sold an estimated 24 million albums and 125 million singles worldwide. Her singles are also some of the best-selling worldwide.

Her achievements, in addition to these new ten awards, include five Grammy Awards and 13 MTV Video Music Awards.

She is also regularly found on lists composed by Forbes magazine, including The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women from 2010 to 2013, and was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
