Pop star Lily Allen has a secret name when writing songs for others. However, she keeps her true identity hidden by using an alias for all her extra work.

The star told Popjustice.com, “Well! I may have a pseudonym. I may have a writing name, and I may have written other songs!”

When asked if she had actually done so, she said, “Yes” but refuses to name the artists she has given her songs to, adding, “I’m not going to tell you… One day you’ll find out…”

In 2009, the star announced that she would be taking a pause from music.

During 2010, Allen started a fashion rental shop named “Lucy in Disguise” with her sister Sarah, followed by the 2011 kick off of her own record label. In 2013, Lily revealed that she had begun work on her third studio album, which was later titled Sheezus.

The star has revealed that she wrote a song for her newest album Sheezus, which was inspired by a Twitter feud with young singer Azealia Banks during the summer of 2013.

In December 2013, Allen was announced as one of the newest contractors at Warner Bros. Records due to Warner Music Group acquiring Parlophone from Universal Music Group in May 2013.

In an interview with Graham Norton on The Graham Norton Show on February 21, 2014, the singer confirmed that her third studio album will be titled Sheezus, saying that it is “a little nod to Kanye West”. The star also said she was waiting for an angry call from Kanye West because of her album title.

The album is due to be released on May 5, 2014.
