Rapper Pusha T Named President of G.O.O.D. Music

Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label has a new president. The label has confirmed that Virginia rapper and entrepreneur Pusha T is going to be the president of the label, which is under the Def Jam umbrella.

The label is dedicated to creating and promoting forward-thinking urban music and has a roster that includes new and old stars like Teyana Taylor, Kacy Hill and Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest fame.

According to Pusha T, who started his rap career back in the 1990s as half of the duo Clipse with his brother Malice, he got the call from West as he was getting into his car at the airport.

Pusha said that West wants him to “manicure” the label, to make sure that it’s profitable and to keep the business side of things in check.

According to King Push, West likes the way that he goes about putting his albums together and the quality control he puts into his own music, and he wants Pusha to do the same with the music of other artists on the label.
