Robyn And Royksopp Team Up For EP Before Hitting Joint Tour

Pop star Robyn is now in the studio together with her new tour pals Royksopp for recording an EP.

The Scandinavian acts are currently preparing to hit the road together in Europe and North America for their Do It Again tour in the summer of 2014.

They have also gave their fans a glimpse at what they could expect on a new mini-album. It also features their new single Monument.

Robyn released a statement announcing the news. She explained, “Svein and Torbjorn (Royksopp) and I started working on new music in the beginning of 2013, I’ve been going back and forth to Bergen to record and write with the boys up until recently.”

“Collaborating with S & T is something I enjoy very much. In the beginning we just knew we wanted to do something together and then it started to feel more like a band thing than songs for a Röyksopp or Robyn album so we’re releasing this music together as a band you could say.”

Royksopp added, “This doesn’t sound like Royksopp featuring Robyn or Robyn produced by Royksopp, it’s just something else entirely. The word ‘collaboration’ has never before been more justified in the world of music!”

The five-song release, called Do It Again, will be available at retailers at the end of May.
They have previously worked together on the electronic duo’s song The Girl and the Robot in 2009.

Not only will this EP be released, but the two groups also plan on touring together again this year.

According to reports, the tour might include not only a separate set for each band, but also a third set during which the two perform together.

This is something that fans of the two have been waiting for ever since the two first collaborated. There will be dates for this tour announced soon for cities all over the world.
