The nominations for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016 have been announced. As expected, many big names in music are in the running, including older bands like Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple and The Smiths, but also 1980s and 1990s stars like Janet Jackson, N.W.A. and Nine Inch Nails, among many more.

Once again, fans will be allowed to participate in the voting. They can go to Rolling Stone’s official site and vote until December 9. The top five vote-getters will make the fan ballot, which will be taken into consideration during the real voting by the Hall’s committee.

The induction ceremony will take place in April 2016 and a recording of the event will be aired on HBO later in the year. In order to be eligible for induction this year, the artist must have released a single or album in 1990 or earlier.
