Sean Diddy Combs is named 2014’s Wealthiest Hip Hop Artist.

They think his cable network Revolt TV has helped him to top this year’s list.

This news came just a day after officials at Howard University announced Sean will receive an honorary doctorate in humanities.

He will give the commencement speech to graduates at the Washington, D.C. College in May 2014.

Second on the list is his colleague rapper and entrepreneur Dr. Dre with $550 million (£343.8 million), while Jay Z hits the third spot with an estimated $520 million (£325 million) worth.
Other names on the list include are Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams with $160 million (£100 million) and 50 Cent with $140 million (£87.5 million).

Combs has won three Grammy Awards so far and two MTV Video Music Awards. He is the producer of MTV’s Making the Band.

His non-music business projects include the clothing lines Sean John and “Sean by Sean Combs”, for which he earned a Council of Fashion Designers of America award, a movie production company and two restaurants.

In 1995, he founded Daddy’s House Social Programs, an organization helping inner city youth.
Programs include tutoring, life skills classes and an annual summer camp.
